I’ve gone and done it and entered the 2018 Deloitte Ride Across Britain. I can’t back out now as I’ve paid over half the cost and booked the flight back from Inverness after the ride finishes !
I’ve received a training plan from the organisers for between now and the end of August – the main premise is riding followed by lots more riding ! Time in the saddle is key.
Training will have to wait this weekend as I’m celebrating my 50th birthday. The whole family are coming down to south Wales for weekend for golf, high ropes course and swimming at Celtic Manor Resort followed by indoor surfing at the Cardiff White Water Centre on Sunday.
